TAYARIM UNIT HEAD: My name is Andy Webster, I'm 29 years old and I love summer camp! I am excited to begin my first year as the Tayarim unit head. I've worked at several other camps over the years before I moved to Rochester, including Journey Camp in Deerfield, Massachusetts and Tree of Life Environmental Education Center in Shelburne, Vermont. Most of my favorite camp memories involve some sort of amazing nature experience, like sitting quietly with a group of campers watching a deer eat grass, playing guitar around a campfire under the stars, or getting all muddy trying to catch frogs in a pond.In my non-camp life, I teach middle school science in Rochester, and my wife and I are in the early process of starting a small organic farm on our land in Hemlock. I have a bachelor's degree in Wildlands Ecology from Sterling College in Craftsbury, Vermont, and a master's degree in Education from The Union Institute & University in Montpelier, Vermont. Through most of my education and professional experience, I have focused on developing ways to help young people form meaningful relationships with the natural world and to discover strengths and talents within themselves in the process. I am thoroughly looking forward to a summer filled with great camp activities and unforgettable memories!

TAYARIM COUNSELORS:

Hi! My name is Hannah Schwartz and I am going to be a counselor this year! This is my third year of working at Camp Sisol. I attended Camp sisol as a camper from Nitzanim to first year of Tayarim and then again for one last summer in 6th grade for Ramot. Also I attended Camp Seneca Lake for eight years. I will be attending Denison University in Ohio next year for my freshmen year. I have lots of hobbies; I love playing sports especially volleyball, softball, and Frisbee. Next year I will be playing D3 volleyball for Denison. I also love jewelry making, especially string bracelets or necklaces. During my first year working at Sisol, I was an assistant counselor for Nitzanim and last year I was a counselor for Ofarim. Many of my fellow staff members were actually my counselors, including Dan and Katie. I looked forward to a great summer and having lots of fun!

My name is Haley Chapman, I am 18 years old, and this is my first year being a part of the Camp Sisol Staff! I will be graduating right down the road (at Honeoye Falls- Lima high school), and will be attending college at the University at Buffalo this fall (Majoring in Fine Arts). My hobbies and interests include Drawing, Painting, Photography, Cross Country Running, Downhill Skiing, Rowing on the Pittsford Crew Team, Biking, Swimming...just about anything outdoors! I was a part of the Mendon Summer Recreational Camp during my first year in high school where I was the art teacher’s assistant. I was able to teach some of her classes, which allowed me to interact with the kids as well as do what I love most; make art! It was a wonderful experience; one that I will never forget. I cannot wait for summer this year! It is going to be a blast! Between making new friends and going off to college, it is going to be quite the adventure!

My name is Rebecca Zaretsky and I am 18 years old. I will be graudating from Brighton High School in June, and I am looking forward to attending Wheelock College in the fall. This is my first year at Camp Sisol and I am very excited about it! I am very interested in art, literature, music, and whales. I am most excited for all the nice weather the summer brings; it just makes everything better!
