TZOFIM UNIT HEAD: 
Hi, my name is Carolyn Whitbeck, I am 27 years old & I am happy to say that I will be the Tzofim Unit Head this summer! This will be my second summer at Camp Sisol. I was previously the Machon (CIT) Unit Head & I cannot wait for this summer to begin! I am a 2005 graduate of Mercyhurst College with a Bachelor's Degree in Family & Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Marriage & Family Studies as well as a minor in Sociology. I have worked in the Gesher Center at the JCC for the past year & am currently one of the Kindercrew teachers so I already know most, if not all, of the children that will be in Tzofim this summer. Some may say that I am 'obsessed' with hockey, however, I just say that I am an avid watcher, and am a HUGE fan of the Buffalo Sabres. I have been an athelete all of my life; you name it, I have probably played it so I'm looking forward to playing some of those sports (as well as many others) with all campers this summer. Not only will this be my second summer at Camp Sisol, I also have 10 years of 'camp' experience working at another camp in the Rochester area and am more than excited to bring all of the knowledge that I have to Sisol this summer to help each & everyone of your kids to have the best summer ever.

Hi Campers! My name is Allia Calkins and I am 16 years old, and I attend Brighton High School. This coming summer will be my third year at Camp Sisol and I can’t wait! Last year I was a counselor in Ofarim and I hope to see many of you again this year in the new Tzofim. I am on the swim team and I love to swim and play water polo. I also like doing ceramics and singing. I can’t wait to meet all of you and have a great time this summer!
Hi, my name is Emma Zeger, I graduated from Sutherland High School last year and am currently a sophomore in the Music Conservatory at SUNY Purchase. This is my first year as a counselor at Camp Sisol but I went as a camper for six years. Some of my interests are music and cooking. I am looking forward to doing lots of fun activities with my campers and giving them a great Camp Sisol experience this summer!
Hi, my name is Talia Ascher. I am 18 and I graduated from Allendale Columbia School this year. I am attending Muhlenberg this coming fall. I was a camper at Camp Sisol for 3 years. This is my first year as a counselor! My hobbies and interests include Rugby, soccer, paintball, rock climbing, nature and animals. I do a lot of volunteer work and have been helping the Emergency Services with their new directory online. I chose rugby as my sport of choice for college and my team won the state championship this year (go Fairport Raiders!) I was a CIT at the Council Rock camp four summers ago and I was the art counselor at Camp Gan Israel two summers ago. I am most excited to ‘have fun in the sun’.
Griffin Dohr is 16 years old, and a senior at HF-L High School. He was a CIT for half the summer last year, and worked as an assistant counselor the second half in Tzofim. He is excited that his oldest sister Carlin will be at camp all summer with him! Griffin loves any kind of sport, and plays Varsity Tennis. He also loves to swim, play ping pong and play with his dog, Charlie. Griffin is excited to be returning to camp this summer, and he hopes that he will get to see a lot of familiar faces, as well as some new ones!
My name is Aviva Schaffer and I'm 18 and currently a senior at Brighton High School. Next year I will be attending the University of Rochester. I was a camper at Sisol for five summers and have been a counselor for two. I play saxophone in different groups throughout the year. I am really looking forward to returning to camp this summer.
